AI Applications in Legal Work

On June 4th, the CHIZAI Toastmasters Club hosted an event titled "AI Applications in Legal Work" at the TMI Associates conference room, featuring Chris Mammen as our guest speaker. I was so absorbed in the discussion led by Chris and the enjoyable gathering afterward that I completely forgot to take any photos.

As it is certain that AI will replace parts of our work, it is becoming crucial to enhance our skills not only by actively utilizing AI to maintain a high level of technical proficiency, but also by learning how to leverage it to improve organizational performance and client satisfaction.

Through this event, I felt that because there are so few comprehensive articles on the cutting-edge topic of AI applications, it is essential to share our real-world experiences through gatherings like this and remain an active part of this community.

6月4日、知財トーストマスターズクラブは、Chris Mammen氏を講師に迎え、TMI Associatesの会議室にて「AI Applications in Legal Work（法務業務におけるAI活用）」というイベントを開催しました。Chris氏のリードによるディスカッションとその後の楽しい交流会にすっかり夢中になってしまい、写真を撮るのを完全に忘れてしまいました。

AIが私たちの仕事の一部を代替していくことは間違いありません。そのため、AIを積極的に活用して一定の技術的スキルを維持すること、そしてAIをどのように活かして組織のパフォーマンス向上や顧客満足度の向上に繋げていくかというマネジメントスキルを高めることが、今後ますます重要になってきます。

今回のイベントを通じて、AI活用のような最先端の話題については、まとまった記事がほとんど存在しないことから、こうした集まりを通じて生の経験を共有し、このコミュニティの一員であり続けることが極めて重要だと感じています。
