On June 12th, 2024, we conducted a regular meeting with 10 members and 2 guests.
These guests are motivated enough to join this club. This meeting was full of pleasure.
First speaker was a seasoned IP professional. Thus, he is well acquainted with a wide range of technology.
But, he is worried about the sustainability of the IP industry. If the IP system was completely abolished by political leaders or someone else, many people involved in the IP industry will lose their jobs abruptly.
To address such risks, he has been making mind-boggling efforts to gain and sharpen skills not so dependent on the IP field, and building a helpful network.
Second speaker recently traveled to the US for her school reunion party. She was stimulated during the trip and vibrantly shared her findings and thoughts in detail.
Haneda airport has significantly changed. There were full of non-Japanese passengers. She felt English skill is essential even for ordinary Japanese people.
In the US, inflation has been strongly dragging on, but the economy has been strongly booming and they can live peacefully. Thus, the US dollar is strong enough. It’s hard to imagine the lives of Americans in such severe inflation. We could understand their lives by her sharings. Her speech reminded us of the adage “seeing is believing”.
Third speaker enjoyed his business trip to Atlanta, the US. An astonishing 10 thousand IP professionals gathered at once there.
He found that there are obsolete trends and continuing trends across the world.
Ties looked obsolete. But, business card culture would be persistently continuing.
Also, paid recognition might be booming nowadays. He saw such ceremonies there. And, he receives tons of emails for persuading paid recognition because he is an important person in the IP industry. But he dislikes paid recognition and ignores them.
6月12日にメンバー10名、ゲスト2名で通常例会を開催しました。
本日のゲストは知財クラブに入会してくれる見込みです。
最初のスピーカーは知財業界のベテランです。そのため、彼は様々な技術に精通しています。
そんな彼は、知財業界の持続性に不安を感じています。もしも政治家などが特許システムを完全に放棄してしまった場合、多くの人が職を失うことになります。
そんなリスクに備え、彼はスキルを高め続けています。
2番目のスピーカーは、最近同窓会に出席するためにアメリカに行きました。彼女は多くの気づきを詳細に共有してくれました。
羽田空港は日本人の割合がだいぶ少なくなり、以前とは様相がかなり変わっていたようです。日本でも英語を使う機会が多くなりそうです。
アメリカではインフレが収まりませんが、アメリカの景気は好調であり、人々は普通に生活しているようです。見ることは信じることという格言を思い出させてくれるようなスピーチでした。
3番目のスピーカーはアトランタに出張した経験をシェアしました。1万人もの知財業界の専門家が一堂に集まる場を訪れました。
ネクタイは時代遅れになっているものの、名刺はまだまだ使われているようです。
また、金銭の支払いを伴う顕彰が広まっているようです。彼は業界で重要な人物であるため、そのような顕彰を実施することを目的としたメールを多数受け取っているようです。しかしながら、あまり彼はそのような顕彰が好きではなく、無視しているようです。
