We had a regular meeting, too, after the joint event.
We are used to a virtual format. One of the challenges is communication with chat box. It is a good tool, but it is difficult to get attention from all at the same time. Far from realtime two-way communication. Not everything is going smoothly, but we are no longer upset about minor troubles. This may be called new normal for Toastmasters. A next step may be a hybrid format, combination of physical and virtual settings. We will make persistent efforts for outreach to IP professionals who want to meet people.
共同イベントの後に、例会も開催しました。
バーチャル形式に慣れてきました。難しい問題の１つは、チャットボックスを使ったコミュニケーションです。とても良いツールですが、同時にすべての人に気づいてもらうのは難しい。リアルタイムの双方向コミュニケーションとはほど遠いものです。すべてがスムーズに進むわけではありませんが、小さなトラブルでは驚かなくなりました。これは、トーストマスターズのニューノーマルと言えるのかもしれません。次の挑戦は、フィジカルとバーチャルを融合したハイブリッド形式かもしれません。これからも、人とつながりたい知財専門家にアウトリーチすべく、粘り強く取り組んでいきます。
